    Ryan is a founding Managing Director of Storm Ventures. At Storm Ventures, Ryan focuses on enterprise IT and has primarily invested in SaaS (Crowd Factory / Acquired by Marketo, Digital Shadows, GuideSpark), mobile (Appcelerator, Splashtop) and cloud/infrastructure related companies (Hubpages, Kidaro/Acquired by Microsoft, Nubeliu, MetaCloud / Acquired by Cisco, SandForce / Acquired by LSI and Swiftstack).Ryan writes a blog called "Enterprising: A Collection of Thoughts on Enterprise IT and Venture:" to founding Storm Ventures in 2000, Ryan directed the business development activities at E-TEK Dynamics, an optics company that went public in 1998 and ultimately merged with JDS Uniphase in 2000. Prior to joining E-TEK, Ryan was with Summit Partners, a private equity firm, where he focused primarily on IT, including Summit's investment in E-TEK Dynamics in July 1997.Ryan is active and works with Code2040, a non-profit helping Latino and black engineering students get Silicon Valley internships. Ryan received his B.S. and M.S. in Earth Systems from Stanford University.
