This is seen even more so in the IT world that is becoming an "engineer's market" where top IT talent can switch loyalties quickly.
So how do you build a technology A-team and how do you keep them as an IT leader? Targeted to senior IT leaders and IT middle management, this session will discuss 7 qualities of teams and organizations that make engineers want to stay, beyond just pay. The substance of the session will discuss how the following attributes of companies or teams attract and keep talent: company collaborative culture, the role of leadership style and empowerment, non-traditional team structure, having clear vision and priorities, hiring and developing A-players, and building a work culture that is both demanding and fun.
The session will include short video commentaries from engineers emphasizing what they want in the ideal workplace. The wrap up will cover recommended and prescriptive change strategies for managers and leaders who feel their businesses are failing at many of these areas yet want to develop an environment in their teams and departments where top IT talent wants to work.
