Today, conversations about SDN and network automation are at an all-time high. The past few years have served to solidify the need for more dynamic programming of our networks, whether with full-blown SDN, or with smaller, more specialized tools. In any case, network automation has a clear value proposition, if done correctly.

However, a very crucial component typically not discussed in network automation conversations is the topic of automated testing. In an automated world, it is absolutely crucial to have pre-determined test suites that you can run after a change in order to have greater confidence that this change occurred successfully. This is a technique that software developers have used for some time, known as Continuous Integration. There are numerous ways for the network industry to adopt such techniques to realize many of the same benefits.

Attendees of this session will receive a full demonstration of a new open source software project that aims to provide valuable test telemetry to both network operators, and application teams by providing a flexible, distributed testing framework. Attendees will leave this session with not only a full demonstration, but also instructions on how to get this software running in their own environment.
