    Vault Recording: TBD

As Wi-Fi speeds increase, some organizations are giving serious consideration to the all
wireless office (AWO). The all wireless office, essentially cutting the cord for good, could be the
next evolution of true Wi-Fi mobility in the enterprise. While enterprises are heavily invested in
Wi-Fi infrastructure, many of its users are still tethered to a cable for data and voice services.

George Stefanick and his mobility team at Houston Methodist Hospital cut the cord 2 years ago.
George and his team are celebrating their 2 year AWO anniversary. Over 300+ users, all of
whom pack laptops, tablets and smart devices, and use Cisco 7925 handsets for voice call
    AWO home.

In this session George shares his hands on experience deploying an AWO. The good, bad, ugly,
and hurdles that needed to be overcome for a successful and reliable deployment.

    George will cover:

    • Cost savings deploying an all wireless office
    • Management buy in and support
    • Client driver issues
    • Distinguishing Wi-Fi issues from server and application problems
    • Approach on a AWO RF design
    • Sniffing frames 24/7 with Omnipeek WiFi Appliance
    • Using Fluke / AirMagnet tools for design, maintenance and troubleshooting
    • Setting user expectations
    • Picking power users
    • Taking what we learned at AWO and deploying in large scale enterprise

"It wasn't an easy road. Though there were many challenges, we're now 2 years in and users
are genuinely happy and no one is asking for a cable."
