Wireless access needs just keep growing, and design principles sometimes get short-changed in the rush to support business demands. Just add more APs and you're all set, right? Wrong. Thoughtless designs result in mixed performance, user frustration, and time and effort troubleshooting the problems that crop up. Proper Wi-Fi design starts with understanding user expectations, application requirements, device requirements, and the special needs of your environment or industry. In this workshop, George Stefanick will help you build a more robust wireless network by sharing practical design tips for use cases including data, voice, location, and high density. He'll explain why design practices are so important for WLAN and discuss how requirements differ for enterprise, healthcare, logistics and outdoor environments.

George will also delve into troubleshooting wireless networks, sharing examples of real-world enterprise problems and frame captures, spectrum captures and debugs. In addition, attendees will learn about testing methodologies to meet common scenarios, such as:

•Designing a wireless network to support voice
•Deploying a video application over a wireless network
•Running soft phones on a wireless laptop
•Deploying smart devices as wireless communicators

Attendees will receive demonstrations and recommendations for the most useful tools to identify and resolve Wi-Fi performance issues, providing them with the ability to ensure a high quality of experience in any industry or environment.
