This workshop will start with core approaches to project management and introduce the concepts embraced by all agile methodologies. Next, we will cover the different agile development approaches and what benefits each provides. We will provide an overview of strategies that allow for everything from a single project approach to an integrated scalable approach for an entire organization.

The workshop will touch on popular project and team level methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban as well as examining enterprise-wide solutions including the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). This session will take a case study-based approach to understand the success criteria for an agile methodology that is depolyed at the project, program and portfolio levels within an organization.

    Key Takeaways:

    • Examine how agile methodologies shift from traditional development methodologies such as Waterfall development
    • Identify key risks many organizations adopt when attempting to migrate from a waterfall approach into an agile approach
    • Review enterprise strategies for integrating decision making, budgeting, and development planning into a single cohesive approach
    • Understand case studies of organizations that have successfully migrated into an agile methodology
    • Analyze and overview of existing agile methodologies and the toolsets to support these workflows
