SDN excites with the promise of making network agility match virtual server agility, but the only way to really achieve that agility is by connecting your SDN controller to your cloud orchestration software and writing DC network configuration into your application blueprints. Given that both SDN and true cloud operations are new to most data centers, most folks will need some guidance on how to make them not just coexist but cooperate.

In this session, come and learn, what early adopters are succeeding with as they weave SDN and automation together to achieve cloud-like levels of agility:

    • Which controllers and which cloud management platforms are folks deploying?
    • How do they make the connections between the two?
    • How do they define network services in their deployment blueprints?
    • How do they organize staff and revamp processes to work in the new environment?
    • How do they open the environment to their developers and incorporate DevOps processes?
    • Where are the seams and hitches in current integrations?

We will cover some best practices and success factors from live deployments based on our new data center benchmark research. Come and learn from your peers' experiences!
