    10:15 - 10:30 AM: Rethink DNS: Critical Internet Infrastructure for Hybrid Cloud Success (Collin Woo)
    By 2020, Forrester Research estimates that businesses will be investing upwards of $230B in cloud and most of these companies will be merging these cloud investments into hybrid infrastructure architectures across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
    To truly benefit from your hybrid deployment, you need a strategic approach that gets users from the edge to the right asset. In his presentation, Scott Taylor, urges attendees to "Rethink DNS" as a critical component of your infrastructure and unlock the secrets of intelligent response in a hybrid environment.

    Developers and application owners have had to take some drastic steps in order to stay as agile as the business demands. Years of inflexible process, outdated tooling, and organizational silos in traditional IT infrastructure has not been able to keep pace with the needs of a software team in 2017.

    In this talk we'll discuss what software teams have been doing for the past 5 years to cope with this. We'll explore why the current model of infrastructure provisioning is insufficient, how it contrasts with the tools and processes that software teams have created for themselves, and most importantly, what infrastructure engineers can do to catch up.

    11:30 AM - 12:00 PM: Configuration Greatness (Ethan Banks)
    For years, network engineers have been taught that engineering is the art of typing commands into expensive devices. CLI-fu has been a mark of distinction. Knowing what to type where and when has separated the decent engineers from the great ones.

    As it turns out, CLI-fu is largely a myth. In this session, we discuss the foibles of command line engineering, setting the stage for a larger conversation about network automation.

    A deep challenge of network automation is in the representation of the network. The model of the network. With a standard model, automation tooling has a reference to work with. However, modeling the network is just now coming in to vogue.

    YANG is a network modeling language, but looks squarely on the path of SNMP. Will YANG models become the standard way of describing the network? It certainly looks that way.

    In this session, we discuss network automation in the context of YANG models. Why do we need standard models? What benefits do they bring to network automation? Why YANG specifically? Are vendors getting behind YANG?
