DevOps promotes a culture of sharing and empathy, a 'systems view' of application development and delivery, and empowerment for individuals and teams to make informed decisions. This 'bottoms-up' approach can be very difficult for program and team managers, and especially for executives, as they lose visibility and control over activities and lack the predictability they are accustomed to.

This session will look at organizations' DevOps initiatives from the executive and management view, from the initial plans for teaming and organizational changes, through budget justification and expected outcomes, to handling day-to-day management and accountability for DevOps practitioners.

Attend this session to learn essential elements for planning and leading a DevOps transformation, the organizational and other changes you will need to execute, how to determine ROI and set expectations for other outcomes, how to measure and manage your teams and activities, and how you can expect to improve services to end users, both internal and external.
